(b. 1993, he/him) I make experimental music through notated composition, installation, and performance. Some things I often think about when making music include counterpoint, tuning, memory, and the transmission and aesthetics of notation. The political limitations of art and the necessity to engage in organizing outside of the artistic sphere are deeply held beliefs that inform my music-making. I am also a devoted student of the 11-course lute and its French Baroque repertoire.

I was raised in Columbus, Ohio and stayed in my home state to receive a BM in composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2015. I received an MFA at the California Institute of the Arts in 2019, studying under Michael Pisaro-Liu and Wolfgang von Schweinitz. I am currently a Ph.D. student in composition at UC San Diego.
